Have you ever wondered about slices of life from the past? Or pondered how fellow humans felt at mundane and ordinary moments in other times of world history? That real humans struggled and dreamed and worried and labored and loved, day in and day out.
I choose joy.
Joy comes in the morning.

and of course, joy to the world!
When my daughter hears any of these sayings, she usually reacts by rolling her eyes and saying, “like I haven’t heard that a million times.” (Unless it’s an adult -- then she smiles politely and sighs.)
You’ve done it yourself. Open the refrigerator door, close the refrigerator door. Check the cupboards. Back to the refrigerator. The produce drawer, the back of the middle shelf. Maybe you’ll find what you’re looking for in the freezer. Ice cream? No, not even ice cream will satisfy. Not today.
